One Way to Shop If You Have A Bad Credit Score

posted by admin in Uncategorized

Recently I had a conversation with a friend of mine who had a bad credit score on how to shop when that’s the case. She suggested those catalogue stores are a great option in this situation. Here is some of what we discussed.

Catalogue stores are a wonderful resource to buy necessities if you have a bad credit score in the United Kingdom. A bad credit score can make it hard to buy things, as some stores will not be willing to extend credit to someone deemed risky according to a credit report.

What we can learn from animals

posted by admin in Uncategorized

Here at the farm we have animals galore…pigs and chickens and cows and more. We even have rats! Although that isn’t supposed to be how it is; they came one day and no matter what poison we lay down they seem intent on staying.

So, here, for your enjoyment, are animals and what we can learn from them:

  1. Pigs: the pigs, what with their carefree attitude to life and love of cleanliness – people think they are messy but actually they really love being clean and hygienic – can teach us a lot about how to do things better. One thing our pigs do is oink extra loudly. This makes them one of the most assertive animals on our farm.

  2. Chickens: the chickens are easily, by far the most optimistic birds in the world, in our opinion. They bop their heads constantly and are always keen to start a new day what with their love of getting up early and waking us all up well before we might otherwise…

And here are some more…

They are a secret society who I always imagine have computers and blackboards and everything underground

  1. Cows: the cows are just very content. Calm, thoughtful, never in a hurry: this is how the cows like to live. They never give us any hassle and are somewhat philosophical about their existence. If you catch them in the right light you can see them pondering things in a highly intellectual way which baffles me just to think about it. I kid you not!

  2. Rats: if rats were people then they’d be doing poster printing , I think. I say this because they spend a lot of time scampering around and it reminds me of the man who comes to pick up bacon and never has any time (he runs the local village newspaper, don’t you know).

  3. The geese: the loudest of them all, when the geese feel like competing with the morning cries of the roosters, it’s well…it’s very loud is what it is. When this happens I run outside and tell them all off and they all scamper and shut up. It’s really quite amusing, actually. I seriously doubt they will ever learn…

  4. The moles: the moles crop up everywhere, yes, even in the crops themselves. They are a secret society who I always imagine have computers and blackboards and everything underground. But there again, my mother always did say I had a vivid imagination…(although if you saw how intelligent they look when they bop up out of the ground all unexpected, I’m sure you’d think exactly the same about them!).

Mortgage Busters

posted by admin in Uncategorized

In the old days, before factory farming and cheap meat, American farmers used to call their hogs ’mortgage busters’. That is because they could breed a few, feed them on feed and farm waste and then when they were in a financial bind, take them for slaughter and make a quite a bit of money. Here at Weber Farm we have been thinking about different types of things that we could raise that would be similar. Last year we raised More

Summer’s delights

posted by admin in Uncategorized

Summer time on the farm has got to be one my favourites, the sun beating down on you as you work and that fresh summer’s breeze uplifting your mood and getting you ready for the tasks ahead. The neighbouring farms have little baby goats running around the lanes and they are so fluffy and cute, I could just stare at them all the day long. All the wildflowers are out in the meadows and they are a beautiful reminder that More

Farm life

Often I get overworked here at the farm, but that’s not to say that I don’t also get a lot of enjoyment out of it too. And with some truly spectacular guests here, making things fun for visitors, why wouldn’t it be?

Here they are, here’s a cast list of my favourite guests.

1) Henry the talking pig: right, so he doesn’t actually talk. We can’t have a conversation, and he mistakes yes for no way too much, but he’s More

The future of diaries…

posted by admin in Uncategorized

If you know me, you know I love writing in my diary. It’s fun, it’s a great way to record what happens in your daily life, and most importantly of all it gives you something to do with your time which is really fun. Or at least I think so.

This weblog thing is also a miracle. I mean, much as I love my diary and will always keep it to some extent, the weblog is the future. It’s just More

My Snap Shot Of The Mediterranean Diet

posted by admin in Uncategorized

I am in search of a carte r4 for a Nintendo game console and as I searched I stumbled upon an internet ad on one of the sites I visited that was advertising the Mediterranean Diet. Now since I have had problems losing weight over the last few years I tried to find out as much as I can about it. Here’s a bit of what I found out.

Keeping me on my toes

Spring is a busy time on the farm. After all, the ground is just about starting to thaw, so we have no more excuses not to be out their digging – no matter what the weather!
You can’t worry too much about what you look like when you’re doing this kind of manual labour. Although Cassie did always manage to look stylish when she was helping out, even down to her very inappropriate manicures. Me, I often don’t have time More

Little House on the Prairie

Little House on the Prairie

I had never done it before (no I don’t mean bikini hair removal ), but am completely intrigued by the possibility. My friend was over the other day and started eyeing my maple tree up and down. You’ve never tapped that tree? she said. I had absolutely no idea what she was talking about. Huh? I said. That is a great maple tree, you can tap that and get some really nice maple syrup from it.

This is when I More
